There was Blues and Soul Dommartin last night. Indeed the festival committee Dommartin organized a concert of "Good Ole Boys" as part of an evening "Beaujolais". I have taken the children while Karin was the choir.
It was a great success: 270 paid admissions! Unheard of in Dommartin for a concert of this type.
The hall was decorated with the colors of the Blues Brothers, black and white ... Because the "Good Ole Boys" essentially repeat the Blues Brothers repertoire.
In 2009, Vincent Brost Frache and Nicolas decided to reform "the Blues Brothers Band" ... Both are animated by the same faith in soul music. Walking in the footsteps of their oh so talented seniors the "Blues Brothers", the "Good ole boys" bring to life the spirits of blues and soul, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and many others ...
The group is really excellent. The horn section is superb.
Nicolas Frache provides Gibson with her! Ronald and Alice loved it. There was a warm atmosphere, you can realize on the second video (filmed with the camera of Alice, the quality is very average but it gives an idea).
The group "The Godd Ole Boys: Vincent Brost: Lead vocal & guitar / Nicolas Frache: vocal & lead guitar / William Boudou: bass guitar / Nicolas Taite: drums / Vincent Perier : tenor sax / Hugo Quillet: trumpet
Influences: Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, The Blues Brothers Band, Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, BB King ...

History of the Blues Brothers
Before the film John Landis, the Blues Brothers were actually a comedy duo from the famous American TV show Saturday Night Live.
John Belushi (aka the singer Jake Blues) and Dan Aykroyd (aka Elwood Blues harmonica player), have formed The Blues Brothers in early 1976 to warm the audience of Saturday Night Live. The humorous aspect is partly based on the image of two men dressed in black suits who look like Mafia hitmen, who suddenly burst into energetic songs and dances.
The Blues Brothers recorded their first album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978. The album went platinum, including the titles "Soul Man" and "Rubber Biscuit."
In 1980, the movie The Blues Brothers, directed by John Landis, was released on screens film, with appearances by Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker, Carrie Fisher, Frank Oz, Steven Spielberg, John Candy, Joe Walsh, Pinetop Perkins, Chaka Khan and Paul Reubens. The film takes place in Chicago.
The March 5, 1982, Belushi, who became a cocaine addict, died of an overdose in Hollywood speedball.
